This weekend was the 'Bird Family Camp Out'. Except that a few 'BIRDS' couldn't be there! (Maryann and Ryan) Oh, and Mom and Dad didn't make it either because of previous engagements :( So, maybe it was more like a Tanner-Olschewski-Bird camp out? Either way, it was SO fun. I really did have SUCH a good time! It was a short camp out; only an over nighter... but still WAY WAY fun. NICE warm weather, cool at night. We ate yummy dutchoven dinner and salad and rolls and fruit that night. MMMM... it was SO good. Then Lisa and Derek treated us all with peach cobbler in the dutch oven! DELICIOUS. The next morning, Kye and Derek and whoever else, made a yummy breakfast of French Toast, bacon, sausage, and cheesy potatoes in the dutch oven. YUM. We sat in the shade and watched the kids ride around in the meadow on the 4 wheelers. The dogs chased after them at first, then got tired and came back to lay in the shade too. All in all, it was just a really fun, relaxing time. I'm so glad we went, and can't WAIT to plan another one! Nate was the coolest uncle in the world, and the boys just begged for him to take them rallying ONE MORE TIME in the Ranger. You could hear them laughing all the way back at camp! I wish we could've stayed longer tho! Next time, we will for sure. We already have plans to go again UEA weekend... so if any of you want to come!?....

That was fun, but too short, I agree! I'm just glad we didn't have to take any kids to the ER for um, help. Every one of my boys had some kind of accident. We can't decide who's was the best (or worst, depending on how you look at it!) - Alex's ramming head-on into a tree in the Ranger, giving everyone whiplash when he came up over a hill and "there was a tree that just sprouted out of nowhere" and thinking the gas pedal was the brake, or Taylor's being thrown off the 4-wheeler and out of his own shoes which stood waiting for him to get back on the 4-wheeler and into his shoes! OY, that could have been bad! BTW, we owe you a new headlight, etc. for Haven's 4-wheeler that Morgan ran straight into the Ranger with! Wonder what he was thinking?!? Jaxson's run-in with the bush didn't quite qualify him for the contest! Thanks for the fun time! We love you! :)September 15, 2008 at 11:54 PMsheesh! I didn't even know about half that stuff happening! I'm oblivious. wow... your kids are accident prone! At least your HUSBAND isn't! lol we are planning on going again on UEA weekend, so see if you want to come!September 16, 2008 at 12:04 AMBTW, the pics are SOOOOO cute! Good memories!
